The island was named after Prince Alexander of Greece and Denmark, who later became King Alexander I of Greece.

It is located in the southern Indian Ocean, are a group of uninhabited islands with a total area of 7,215 square kilometers. Despite their remote location, the Kerguelen Islands are home to a variety of wildlife, including elephant seals, fur seals, and several species of birds.The Kerguelen Islands were discovered by the French navigator Yves-Joseph de Kerguelen-Trémarec in 1772. The islands are now a nature reserve and are home to many rare and endangered species.


5. Heard Island, Australia Heard Island:

It is located in the southern Indian Ocean, is an uninhabited volcanic island with an area of 368 square kilometers. Despite its small size, Heard Island is home to a variety of wildlife, including several bird species and seals.Heard Island is located in one of the most remote and isolated areas of the world, and its only inhabitants are scientific researchers. The island is also home to a large colony of king penguins, which are one of the largest species of penguins.
