Match 1: Bangladesh vs England, 1st ODI

The first match of the series was played at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. England won the toss and decided to bat first. However, England's middle-order couldn't capitalize on the good start, and they were soon reduced to 142/5.

It was then that Ben Stokes came to the crease and played an outstanding innings of 106 runs off just 94 balls.Its really a great inning. His knock included 10 fours and 3 sixes and helped England post a respectable total of 276/9 in their 50 overs. For Bangladesh, spinner Shakib Al Hasan was the pick of the bowlers, picking up three wickets.

In reply, Bangladesh got off to a poor start, losing their top-order batsmen quickly. However, Mohammad Naim played a fighting innings of 81 runs and shared a 77-run partnership with Shakib Al Hasan to keep Bangladesh in the game. However, England's bowlers kept picking up wickets at regular intervals, and Bangladesh were eventually bowled out for 225 in the 47th over.


For England, fast bowler Mark Wood was the star with the ball, picking up three wickets for just 31 runs. Ben Stokes was adjudged the man of the match for his brilliant century.


What to expect in the next two ODIs:

The second ODI of the series will be played at the same venue, the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. As you know England will be looking to seal the series with another win, while Bangladesh will be hoping to bounce back and level the series.

England's batting will once again revolve around their top-order batsmen, with Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow expected to provide a good start. If their middle-order can support them better than they did in the first match, England could post a formidable total. In the bowling department, Mark Wood and Chris Woakes will be key for England.


For Bangladesh, they will be hoping for better performances from their top-order batsmen, who failed in the first match. They will also need their experienced players like Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal to step up and contribute with the bat. The first ODI of the series was played on March 1, 2023, at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. England won the toss and decided to bat first. They scored 276/9 in their 50 overs, with Ben Stokes scoring a brilliant century. In reply, Bangladesh could only manage 225 in their 47 overs, and England won the match by 51 runs. Mark Wood was the pick of the bowlers for England, taking three wickets for just 31 runs.


                       The second ODI:

The second ODI of the series was played on March 3, 2023, at the same venue, the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. England once again won the toss and decided to bat first. They posted a total of 293/7 in their 50 overs, with Joe Root scoring a century. In reply, Bangladesh fell short once again, managing only 249/8 in their 50 overs. England won the match by 44 runs and took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.


                         The third ODI:

The third and final ODI of the series was played on March 6, 2023, at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. England won the toss and decided to bat first once again. They posted a total of 308/6 in their 50 overs, with Eoin Morgan scoring a century. In reply, Bangladesh could only manage 273/9 in their 50 overs, and England won the match by 35 runs to complete a 3-0 whitewash.

In conclusion, England dominated the Bangladesh vs England ODI series in 2023, winning all three matches convincingly. They showed their strength in both batting and bowling, while Bangladesh struggled to find form in both departments. However, both teams will have more opportunities to face each other in the future, and Bangladesh will be looking to bounce back and give England a tough fight.
